Cegalas celebrate 60th anniversary

Joseph and Beverly Cegala of Zionsville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, June 12, 2008. They will renew their marriage vows at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on June 8 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 1870 W. Oak St. The Cegalas were married in Buffalo, N.Y. and also lived in Parsippany, N.J. They moved to Zionsville almost 30 years ago when Joe was promoted to a regional director for NCR.

The Cegalas are active in their church and have served in many different roles over the years. Joe is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is a past Grand Knight. Beverly is a “parish friend,” visiting parish members unable to attend church regularly. She also assists with Mass at local nursing homes and is a member of the Village Arts and Study Club, having served as treasurer.

The Cegalas have four children: Debbie (husband Dick) Canada of Zionsville; Candy (husband Mike) Winecoff of Kannapolis, N.C.; Joe (wife Katherine) Cegala of Alpharetta, Ga.; and Nanette (husband David) Renzi of Danville, Calif. They also have 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
