Fishers celebrate 50th anniversary

Hershel and Elisabeth (Schonberger) Fisher of Whitestown will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a private renewal of the their vows at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug.18, at the Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nev. Witnesses will be daughter Ramona Smith (husband Michael) of Katy, Texas, formerly of Zionsville.

The couple wed Aug. 19, 1957, in Germany. Hershel Fisher is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired truck driver with Yellow Freight. Elisabeth Fisher is a homemaker. They have two grandchildren.
