Zackary Baldwin, a third-grade student at Perry Worth Elementary School, won the Association of Indiana Counties National County Government Week essay contest winner for the West Central District. Baldwin received $100 for winning the contest. This year’s theme was “Smart Justice: Creating Safer Communities.” Essays were judged on how well students communicated the county’s role in promoting safety and justice for its citizens.
