Zackary Baldwin, a third-grade student at Perry Worth Elementary School, won the Association of Indiana Counties National County Government Week essay contest winner for the West Central District. Baldwin received $100 for winning the contest. This year’s theme was “Smart Justice: Creating Safer Communities.” Essays were judged on how well students communicated the county’s role in promoting safety and justice for its citizens. Baldwin, lower left, is pictured with his family at the AIC West Central district meeting.
