Legion schedules last yard sale

The Zionsville American Legion Auxiliary, 9950 E. County Road 600 S., has one more yard sale before the end of summer. It will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10.

Tables and spaces may be rented for $20.

Drop off items at the Legion to donate for the yard sale.

Concerts return to Lions Park

Free, family concerts have returned to Lions Park for another year. This year’s theme is “Unforgettable Music from the Great American Songbook.”

Concerts begin at 7 p.m. every Sunday in July. Food and drinks will be offered for a donation at each concert.

The July 28 concert is titled “Unforgettable Music” and will be performed by the Indianapolis Municipal Band under the direction of Dr. Dan Bolin.

Fitness studio hosts competition

Heckers’ Fitness, 7635 Stonegate Dr., is sponsoring a “Heckathlon,” which will benefit local public safety agencies.

The dates of participation are August 23, 24 and 25. The competition is designed to be a team competition with 10 events.

All proceeds will be donated to a participating public safety department. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Zionsville Police Department, and the winning team will decide where the remaining proceeds should be donated.

All participants will receive a T-shirt, 20 percent off accessories and 10 percent off bikes at Matthews Bike Shop and free exercise instruction. Instructions will be held Saturdays, Aug. 3 and 17.
