Boone County officials who were sworn into office Thursday evening, Dec. 20, were (front, from left) Nicole “Nikki” Baldwin, recorder; Deanna Willhoite, auditor; Debbie Ottinger, treasurer; Debby Shubert, county council at-large; (back) Shon Hough, coroner; Jeff Wolfe, district three commissioner; Donnie Lawson, district two commissioner; J. Jeffrey Edens, Circuit Court Judge; and David Rodgers, county council at-large. Not pictured is Marcia Wilhoite, county council atlarge. Ottinger, the Boone County GOP party chairwoman, said the event was moved to 6 p.m. Thursday in order to give family and friends a chance to participate in the ceremony, which was held in the Boone Circuit courtroom. Superior Court II Judge Rebecca McClure administered the oaths to individual office holders.
