Park gets illuminated

Zionsville — Tim Nelson (left) and Todd Janssen work at stringing Christmas lights on Herr Cabin in Lebanon Memorial Park Thursday, Nov. 15.

Christmas decorations went up last week at Lebanon Memorial Park as the Lebanon Department of Parks and Recreation prepares for the quickly-approaching holiday season.

Christmas in the Cabin will be Saturday, Dec. 1, at the park. This year it will include a Christmas parade, with the lights around the park turning on as the parade passes by. The cabin will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. For $5, children can enjoy refreshments and make a craft.

Horse-and-carriage rides will also be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the parade will start at 7 p.m.

Call the park office at 765-482-8860 to make a reservation for the carriage rides or to be involved in the parade.
