County locks in fuel prices

Lebanon — It was pump or pray time for the Boone County Commissioners Monday, Dec. 3, when they were told they had no maneuvering room on the single gas and diesel bid they’d just opened from Co-Alliance.

As of noon, crude oil prices were up .37 percent, to $89.24 a barrel.

“Prices are on the move; they’ve jumped 3 cents already today,” Doug Henderson, Co-Alliance representative, told the commissioners. He said the prices in the Co-Alliance bid could be guaranteed only for that day.

See Wednesday's paper for the full story.
