State plans to update voter lists

Voters statewide will soon receive the first of two postcards that remind them Nov. 4 is an election day, as part of a campaign urging voters make any necessary changes to their personal information.

One postcard will be mailed in about a week; the second will be delivered -- but not to all voters -- sometime in June. All active voters will receive the postcards, Boone County Clerk Penny Bogan said.

The campaign is called the "voter refresh list," Bogan said. It is being conducted by the Indiana Secretary of State's Election Division in an attempt to update voter registration lists in every county.
