Maier and Howenstein to marry

Jerry and Karen Maier of Zionsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine, of Indianapolis, to Brian Howenstein, also of Indianapolis. He is the son of Mike Howenstein and Terry McCain of Zionsville.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Zionsville Community High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of Evansville, where she earned a bachelor of science in secondary math education. She teaches math at Pike High School in Indianapolis. The bridegroom-elect also graduated in 2002 from ZCHS. He earned a bachelor of science in computer science from the University of Evansville in 2007. He is a software engineer with Progeny Software in Indianapolis.

A July 5 wedding is planned at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Zionsville.
