Burch - McCarthy

Zionsville — Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Diane) Burch, of Zionsville, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Ann Elizabeth Burch, of Chicago, to John David (Jack) McCarthy, of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. William (Moriag) McCarthy, of Indianapolis.

The couple will wed at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, with Pastor Gregory McGarvey of Carmel United Methodist Church performing the ceremony.

The bride-elect grew up in Zionsville and graduated from Zionsville Community High School in 2005. She attended Indiana University as a Kelley Scholar, graduating in 2009 with a degree in business marketing. Ms. Burch started her career with Target Corporation in Minneapolis and has since moved to Teach for America in Chicago, where she directs the organization’s strategy in the Chicago region.

The prospective bridegroom was born in Evanston, Ill., and was raised in Indianapolis, where he attended Lawrence Central High School and graduated in 2006. He attended Indiana University, also as a Kelley Scholar, and graduated with a degree in business economics and public policy in 2010. Mr. McCarthy joined McKinsey & Co. in Chicago after college and has since joined Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s office working on economic policy.
