— Lions Park is now part owned by more than 100 Zionsville teens.
The Lions Club inducted 106 members into its first Lions Leos Club Tuesday night, Sept. 18.
Anthony Knepp, president of the Zionsville Alpha Leos Club, said the ceremony was really exciting.
“I feel like we have already, had such an impact, and weíre just beginning,” he said. “I am so proud of what we’ve already accomplished. If we keep it up, we have a bright future ahead of us.”
Even though the group just officially started, they have been active in Lions Park and the Fall Festival, selling slushies and have helped keep the park clean.
“I don’t know how you sell that many slushies,” Lions Club Treasurer Gerald Reslar said. “I am handing over a check for $1,082. You all are off to one of the finest fundraisers.”
