Zionsville — A new twist on tasty treats has come to Zionsville: Yogurt On Your Own (YOYO) opened its doors Friday, April 19, at 6685  Whitestown Parkway.

Sandwiched between Flap-Jacks Pancake House and El Rodeo, the new family-owned business offers self-serve frozen yogurt, fruit smoothies and protein shakes.

“There are two parts to our business,” said manager Chris Bello. “One part is yogurt, and one part is the shakes and smoothies we have.

“It’s self-serve yogurt. You fill a cup, then weigh and pay per ounce.”

There are 14 flavors of yogurt or sorbet, and he said the flavors will vary periodically.

“We’ll have our staples that won’t change,” Bello added.

Then there are 30 toppings from which to choose. There’s everything from Fruit Loops to granola; gummies to white chocolate; and peanuts to coconut; as well as cheesecake bites, brownie bites, crushed candy bars and several fruits. In addition, there are a variety of syrups ranging from lemon to cinnamon, with many more in between. Some toppings also will change, Bello said.

All shakes are made with meal replacement powder and whey powder, according to Bello, and vitamin add-ons are available.
