State Bank of Lizton announces changes in executive positions

State Bank of Lizton, announced that H. Matthew Ayers, president of the State Bank of Lizton, will move to the position of Vice-Chairman of State Bank of Lizton. In his new position, he will focus on the development of Lizton Financial Services, the investment and insurance agency of State Bank of Lizton, while continuing with business development for the bank.

“I am proud of my service at the State Bank of Lizton,” he said. “For over 35 years, I have been honored to be a part of its activities, and especially to have been the president for the past 26 years. I deeply value the relationships I have developed. State Bank of Lizton is well positioned to continue its tradition of outstanding service. By concentrating on the insurance and investment services, I believe we will be able to offer customers every financial solution they need, under one roof, with the trusted employees they have come to value.”

Ayers will continue his involvement as a member of the board of directors of Lizton Financial Corporation and the Hendricks County Community Foundation Board, and the Brownsburg Rotary Club.

Ayers’ successor, Leslie “Les” J. Mongell, currently serves as executive vice president and has been with the Bank for 25 years. Les joined the Bank in 1983 as a Loan Review Officer after several years as a bank examiner with the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions. He is a graduate of Indiana State University and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He is active in several community service organizations including the Brownsburg Kiwanis Club. He is viewed as an experienced, trusted go to person within the bank by management, fellow employees and especially his customers.

Les Mongell begins leading the Bank during a challenging period characterized by dramatic changes in national events, the economy and technology.



REMAX joins Extreme Home Makeover

REMAX Ability Plus joined the Extreme Home Makeover project in Indianapolis on Monday March, 31.

Agents from all four Ability Plus locations joined in the effort, assisting with street clean up, neighborhood home repairs, and hospitality tent duties. Five agents, Tad Braner, Pam Jones, Tom and Judy Wothke and Fred Yde, all from the Zionsville REMAX office were part of the team.



Zionsville Economic Development Web site Launches

The Zionsville Economic Development Commission in conjunction with the Zionsville Chamber recently launched a new Web site — www.zionsvilleedc.com.

The Web site offers visitors a comprehensive overview of the Town, business incentives, properties for lease and sale as well as business opportunities available in the greater Zionsville area.

“The recently passed reorganization plan for Zionsville will increase our land area to over 50 square miles,” said Zionsville Economic Development Commission President, Charles Edwards. “With our pro business climate, unique quality of life, great schools and significant land available for both commercial and retail business, now is the perfect time to market our community to prospective businesses.”

Ray Cortopassi, director of the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, will act as primary contact for inquiries about property availability, building incentives and area development.

“The establishment of the Zionsville Economic Development Web site is a big step for the positive growth of our community,” said Cortopassi. “Zionsville is a great place to live and to do business, which is a message I look forward to sharing with those parties interested in bringing their business here.”
