Flu shot clinic set

The Boone County Health Department will have an adult only seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccine clinic from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (or until supplies are exhausted) today at the Witham Health Services Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon. Adult seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccines will be available.

The seasonal flu vaccine will cost $20 and the pneumonia vaccine will cost $35. Payment may be made with cash, check or Medicare. Recipients of the vaccines must be at least 18 years of age.

Zionsville Chamber accepting nominations

The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the Town Crier Award, the Dahlia Award and the Community Service Award.

The annual dinner honoring the recipients will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, at the Palomino Ballroom.

The Town Crier Award is presented to a person who has made outstanding contributions to the town of Zionsville; the Dahlia Award is presented to an outstanding employee of a Zionsville business; and the Community Service Award is given to an institution’s or organization’s contributions to the betterment and growth of the community.

ZCHS service clubs sponsor

‘12 Days of Giving’

The Zionsville Community High School service clubs will be collecting new or gently used gloves, mittens, hats, scarves or other winter accessories during the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12.

The JV game begins at 6 p.m. and the Varsity game should begin around 7:30 p.m.

The goal is to collect 1,500 items. If the student body reaches the goal, selected students may get the chance to throw a pie in the face of an unlucky teacher or administrator during lunch shifts on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Zionsville community members are encouraged to donate items.
