Z'Sparkle Party a sparkling success

Miss Bubbles, Zionsville Police Officer Josh Chapman, gets doused with sparkling apple cider Friday night, Aug. 9, after winning the high heel/stiletto race during the Z'Sparkle Party and Drag Race to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Z'Sparkle organizer Amy Lacy said this year's event went off really well. "The money is really coming in," she said. "This year, we had a chance to really showcase our dragstars and had a lot of new dragstars. We are just thrilled the community supports this event." Lacy said the official numbers won't be known until later this week, but the event raised more than$40,000 as ofd press time. Lacy said their goal was to raise $30,000 so the four-year total would be more than $100,000.
