---- — Julia Evinger has filed for Boone County Commissioner, District 1. She will be on the May 2014 Republican Primary ballot. Evinger is vested in the communities’ financial and social well-being. She has raised her family and built her real estate business in, and is an advocate for, Boone County.“I love Boone County and know we can work together to make this an even more compelling community to call home,” Evinger said in a press release. She has served with many local organizations: Boone County Division of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors, Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, Zionsville Education Foundation, Zionsville Band and Orchestra Patrons, and Zionsville Show Choirs, Inc. She serves as a trustee for the MIBOR political action committee; a trustee for the Indiana Association of Realtors political action committee; a MIBOR director for District 6 serving Boone, Hamilton and Montgomery counties; and is president-elect for the Women’s Council of Realtors Indianapolis Chapter. Evinger is a 2013 Indiana Leadership Forum graduate and a 2012 Real Estate Academy of Leadership graduate. She has served as a GOP delegate to the 2012 state convention, worked as a poll clerk and volunteered for many campaigns, including former Gov. Mitch Daniels’ re-election campaign, Congresswoman Susan Brooks’ campaign and other local races.
Evinger and her family have lived in Zionsville for more than a decade.
