Group needs supplies to create gifts for kids

Many children who stay in local hospitals for an extended period of time not only battle sickness but struggle trying to find the comforts of home.

One local group, called Hug-A-Pillow, is looking for supplies so they can carry on their 40-year tradition of creating pillows to help children feel more comfortable while staying in the hospital.

The Hug-A-Pillow group is made of 20 women from Zionsville churches. They meet from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the first Monday of each month at Zionsville Christian Church to stuff the pillows, embroider the details on the pillows and sew them together.

See Wednesday's paper for the full story.
