Walgreens to open within a month

A new, one-of-a-kind Walgreens store will soon open in Zionsville at the corner of Oak Street and Ford Road.

Jim Hannigan, a project manager with Kite Realty, said he anticipates the new store to open in mid to late November.

Hannigan said the interior of the 14,500 square foot store will by typical, but they worked hard with the town to provide a building that was aesthetically pleasing.

“We did a lot of work to match it with the surrounding architecture and to fit the Zionsville feel,” he said. “It is certainly a departure from the norm for Walgreens. You can look just a few miles away in Carmel, and they are able to put in a normal store, but this one was tailored specifically for Zionsville.”
