Zionsville library hires new director

The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library staff and board of directors will be welcoming Kerry Green as their new executive director after the first of the year.

"January 2nd is my first day," said Green, who will be leaving the assistant director position at the Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library to head the Zionsville library.

Green said he's known the Hussey-Mayfield assistant director, Mary Rueff, for several years and is very excited at the opportunity to work with her. Likewise, Rueff said she's always respected Green, whom she knows through meetings they've both attended through the years, and looks forward to working with him.

"I'm very pleased and look very forward to working with him," she said. "I think we'll make a good team."
