Work begins on Bub's site

Zionsville — Crews work Thursday afternoon, March 28, to clear the site of a future Bub’s Burgers and mixed office/retail building along South Main Street. The project, dubbed the “South Village” project, sits along South Main Street just north of 106th Street and south of Eagle Creek. In addition to the restaurant, there will be 8,000 to 9,000 square feet of retail space for local professionals and businesses.

Bob Harris, of Ed Harris LLP, who owns the land, said he hopes for the burger joint from Travel Channel’s Man v. Food fame to be open by late summer. The project was approved by the plan commission in November. The project is designed to extend the Main Street feel with parking behind the buildings, similar light fixtures and preserving many of the trees in the area.
