---- — A dispute with the former owner of Eagle Creek Coffee Company has led the owner of Le Dolce Vita to file bankruptcy. A Boone County court document dated Wednesday, March 5, states Kelly Evans, Le Dolce Vita owner, filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in late February. Evans said she was forced to file for bankruptcy because of a dispute with Susan Pratt, former owner of Eagle Creek Coffee Company, which Le Dolce Vita occupied in July. Evans said as part of the purchase agreement with Eagle Creek, she retained the loan for the exhaust hood and other items that were in the building. She said Pratt began selling some of those and other items after Le Dolce Vita closed earlier this year. Weston Overturf, who represents Evans, filed for a preliminary injunction, which will restrain a party from a course of conduct, in this case, the sale of Evans' items. According to the motion, the injunction is necessary because the property is required for Evans' attempt to reorganize and be successful. See Wednesday's Times Sentinel for the full story.
