After going through more due diligence and negotiations, Lids and the Zionsville Redevelopment Commission have come up with an amended purchase agreement.
The original closing date for the nearly 16 acres in Creekside Corporate Park at Zionsville along 106th Street between Bennett Parkway and Dahlia Drive was set for March. However, Lids used an option to extend the deadline to May, and the town extended the deadline to June 2.
The deadline passed without an agreement, but during a special meeting Monday morning, June 16, the RDC approved the original agreement with a new closing date and a few amendments.
RDC President Luke Phenicie said he anticipates the closing documents to be signed by Thursday, June 19.
Phenicie said the main portions of the agreement did not change, and most of the changes were "cleaning up" the original agreement. Lids will pay an estimated $577,200 for the acreage.
