Commission approves additional money for project

Zionsville — The Zionsville Redevelopment Commission was forced to spend an additional $9,900 for the 106th Street sewer and water project.

The commission unanimously voted Monday night, July 22, to expend $9,900 for additional work to be completed by Beam, Longest and Neff, LLC, related to the project.

“You had awarded $11,600 for additional project monies,” said Wayne DeLong, director of planning and economic development. “That money has been exhausted. We view this money as the money that gets us across the goal line.”

DeLong said the project has taken bad turn after bad turn.
