Flood waters invade

Flood waters filled Lions Park Sunday, Jan. 13, rushing like a torrent in some places that are normally walking paths. Michelle Stallman, 14, and her brother Anthony, 12, were two of many Zionsville residents who stopped by Lions Park Sunday, Jan. 13, to see how flood waters from the creek had overcome the park. The National Weather Service reported that river flooding and smaller streams were the highest in nearly two years with 2 to as much as 5 inches of rain falling on Saturday and Sunday. Members of the Lions Club and Leos plan to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 16, to cleanup the mess the receding waters left behind.
