Little Kings – A photography exhibition by Chris Bucher — is open at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center, 225 W. Hawthorne St.
A free artist reception is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. The exhibition will be open to the public through Feb. 23.
Little Kings, a solo exhibition by Zionsville artist Chris Bucher, consists of a series of large-scale photographs created at the Jireh Sports Ministry boxing gym.
The photographs track a group of inner-city youths through six months of their training leading up to the Ringside World Championships in Kansas City, Mo.
Bucher is an award-winning photographer whose work, assignments and clients are extremely diverse. He has received great accolades for his documentary style fine art photography in this project, and a number of these images have been shown in galleries and museums all over the country and overseas.
In addition to his artistic projects, Bucher is a commercial photographer, providing photo illustrations for magazines and journals, and producing portraits for corporate and editorial purposes.
Bucher is also the author of two photography instruction guides on digital photography, “Lighting Photo-Workshop” and “Black & White PhotoWorkshop.”
