Local veterinary clinic seeks funds for charity

Zionsville — Zionsville Country Veterinarian Clinic is looking for donations to help animals in need of medical care.

Dr. Shari Lyons, a veterinarian at the clinic, started a fund in memory of her father, Dave Albert, three years ago. Albert died in October 2009 unexpectedly.

“He was an animal lover and advocate,” Lyons said. “I saw a need in the community that we could fufill and honor him at the same time.”

Lyons created the Dave Albert Defense of Animals Fund or DADO. This was also his nickname which started from a woodworking tool he often used.
