The Whitestown Town Council introduced Tuesday night, April 22, four ordinances to annex portions of Perry Township and Eagle Township. Four ordinances were needed as the areas are not contiguous with each other.
Council President Eric Miller was very disappointed in the way Zionsville handled its approach with Whitestown regarding the reorganization.
"Zionsville has forced us to evaluate and make a decision on what areas we expect to provide services to," he said. "I'm disappointed Zionsville did not reach out to anybody at Whitestown to discuss this ahead of time, especially since it seems they've been working on it for quite some time. I'm disappointed that they are trying to leap over Whitestown.
