The single largest Zionsville Education Foundation grant to date served as seed money for Zionsville Community Schools to obtain a $100,000 Indiana Department of Education grant for the 1:1 computing program.
"A year ago, I challenged each Zionsville School Corporation principal and administrator to 'think big,'" ZEF Board President Bob Spoonmore said at the Monday, May 12, ZCS Board of Trustees meeting. "I asked them to imagine a project they wished they could fund but could not.
"ZEF's mission is to 'promote academic excellence,' but we strive to go beyond that to invest in innovation. That was the root of my challenge: Give us a game-changer."
