---- — Improvements to Whitestown parks could be made if the council adopts a park impact fee. The council discussed the fee, which would only be charged on new residential development, during its Tuesday night, Nov. 12, meeting. If approved, the fee would charge $953 for all new detached, single-family homes and $715 for all new multi-family housing units. According to a report made by Umbaugh and Associates, the projected population of Whitestown will be 8,035 by 2023. The impact fee will help provide a sufficient level of park service for that population. See Wednesday's Times Sentinel for the full story.
