New home for Village Christmas tree

Drivers won't have to navigate around a Christmas tree this year as the Christmas in the Village tree has moved to a new location. Julie Johns-Cole, Zionsville Chamber of Commerce executive director, said the tree would no longer be in the middle of the intersection at Main and Oak streets. A permanent tree has been planted in the corner of the parking lot at the intersection of Main and Pine streets. "The space was always intended for a permanent evergreen tree," she said. "That's why we wanted to focus our efforts there, because we wanted to have a permanent presence in downtown Zionsville." See Wednesday's Times Sentinel for the full story.
