Zionsville residents will be able to cheer on two Zionsville natives and take advantage of other opportunities at a Butler University men’s basketball game.
The Town of Zionsville, the Greater Zionsville Chamber of Commerce and Zionsville Community Schools have partnered with Butler University to sponsor a Butler Community Day for the Bulldogs game against Temple University on Saturday, Jan. 26.
As part of the Community Day, Zionsville residents will receive discounted tickets, have the opportunity for children ages 3 through 12 to play a game of knockout on the court after the game and watch members of the Zionsville Youth Basketball teams participate in youth opportunities.
Town Council President Tim Haak said Butler reached out to him with the idea.
“Anytime you can get the community involved as a group to do something, it’s a great thing,” he said. “Zionsville has a strong sense of community already, so this just builds on that, and it’s a great way to meet other people in town.”
