---- — The Zionsville Safety Board finally offered their thoughts on how to deal with gunfire complaints from the rural area.
Steve Mundy and Jeff Papa discussed Monday morning, Nov. 25, how they could proceed after gathering input during three separate public meetings. Board member Susana Suarez was not at the meeting.
Mundy said one thing the board was charged to look at was if the gunfire was a safety concern.
"During the course of the input from the public, we have had a single incident with a safety concern," he said. "We don't know how the horse injury happened, and we don't have a conclusion from this board. We do know it likely came from a gunshot, but we don't know where that gunshot came from."
Mundy said a lot of the complaints were due to the "frequent, intense, long shooting" of firearms.
