Lacy named Town Crier

Others recognized at Chamber banquet

Amy Lacy attended the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet Friday night, Jan. 24, thinking she was there to honor good friend Bob Goodman.

Little did she know she would be named Town Crier, which recognizes a person who makes outstanding contributions to the Town of Zionsville. Lacy, who serves as the deputy town clerk, founded the Z'Sparkle Party and Drag Race to End Alzheimers after losing her mother to Alzheimer's.

Longtime friend Anne Ryder presented the award to Lacy.

"I am a party crasher on a mission to honor one of my oldest and dearest friends," Ryder said. "Some say she sparkles. Some may say she Z'Sparkles. I call her a quiet giant, a person that is always working behind the scenes to do something good for others."
