Blooming, zooming weekend ahead

Zionsville — June 14-15 will be a busy weekend in Zionsville featuring art, history, cars, landscaping and fund raising for a worthy cause.

On Friday, June 14, a series of activities for kids and adults alike will commence and last until Saturday afternoon, June 15. The events include: Garden Classics, the 8th annual Zionsville Paint Out, the Gardens of Zionsville Tour and the CruZionsville car show. Cynthia Young, Executive Director of the Sullivan Munce Center, which will be putting on three of the events, said it’s possible to experience it all.

“I think you could go to a little bit of everything,” Young said. “Watch the painters paint while you’re going to CruZionsville or the garden tour, and of course Garden Classics is on Friday, so I think you could do it all.”

A new event, the Garden Classics, will start things off on Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., when adults can spend the evening at the Sullivan Munce Center relaxing and viewing classic cars on Second Street. Provided by the Classic Car Club of Indiana, there also will be one car on display inside the Sullivan Munce Center.
