Flapjacks Pancake House has opened its sixth central Indiana location in Anson.
The restaurant is now open in The Marketplace at Anson, a 38,366-square foot retail center.
Started in 2002 by Pete and Debora Avgerinos, Flapjacks also has locations in Brownsburg, Lebanon, Plainfield and the south and west sides of Indianapolis. The restaurant was voted “The Best Breakfast Place” in Hendricks County in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and has been featured on Fox 59 News. The 4,814-square-foot Flapjacks in The Marketplace at Anson opened Sept. 11.
“When we decided to expand into Boone County, The Marketplace at Anson offered everything we were looking for — first-generation space in a highly visible retail center, excellent highway access and a growing population,” Avgerinos said. “We see tremendous opportunity as more and more people choose Anson for their homes and additional businesses open up. This is a growing community, and we are pleased to be a part of it.”
Charlie Podell, senior vice president of Duke Realty’s Indiana operations, said he is happy to see Flapjacks in Anson.
“We are pleased that Flapjacks chose Anson for their newest restaurant and are offering residents and the people who work in Anson a convenient dining option that offers fresh, quality food for breakfast and lunch,” he said.
Flapjacks adds to the growing mix of retail service providers, places of worship, schools, youth sports facilities, emergency medical facilities and physician offices, parks, green spaces and other public gathering areas at Anson. Other retail tenants in The Marketplace at Anson include Lowe’s, DC’s Pub, El Rodeo, Arthur Murray Dance Studio, Fox Pizza, a martial arts studio, nail and hair salons, CVS and the State Bank of Lizton. Cassidy Turley has been retained by Duke Realty to lease the remaining retail space at The Marketplace at Anson.
