Council may discuss stormwater fee

The proposed stormwater utility fee is up for discussion and possible adoption again for the Zionsville Town Council.

The council discussed the proposed fee, which would charge $3.86 per household, during its agenda-setting meeting Monday morning, Oct. 29.

“The fee is back before you again for any action or no action,” Town Manager Ed Mitro said. “It can also be continued again if you wish.”

Councilwoman Candace Ulmer asked if the council would have to take a vote in order to give the Stormwater Utility Board direction on a possible next step.

“You don’t have to take any action,” Mitro said. “You don’t have to take it off to give them direction.”

The council continued the decision during its September meeting to the November meeting in order to receive more information from the public.
