Work begins on downtown study

Representatives from TADI and Business Districts, Inc., are hoping for a lot of responses to an online survey to help determine the future success of the Village.

Diane Williams, director of BDI, and Peter Lemmon, TADI senior transportation engineer, spent several hours in Zionsville Monday, Aug. 19, and Tuesday, Aug. 20, to conduct interviews and get a grasp on the area before conducting a downtown market study and parking analysis. Williams and Lemmon told the economic development commission Wednesday night, Aug. 21, they were excited to begin their work.

"We spent more than two hours with (Zionsville Chamber Executive Director) Julie (Johns-Cole) walking around downtown, talking to business owners, property owners and residents," Lemmon said. "We have gone over some different survey questions, which we hope to have ready in the next couple days."
