Friends of the library tab Mills as new president

Zionsville resident Kelly Mills was named as the new president of the Friends of the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library.

“What makes this library so wonderful is the programming,” Mills said. “That’s the difference between a good library and a great library; and the friends make those programs possible.”

The main sources of funding for the group are membership fees and three annual book sales. Since its founding, the friends organization has donated more than $210,000 to support library programs for all ages, equipment purchases, landscaping and collection materials.
