The proposed Wal-Mart store in Zionsville has been continued to January.
Wayne DeLong, director of planning and economic development, said there was another continuance filed to have the project delayed until January.
The project was on the agenda for the Board of Zoning Appeals because Wal-Mart seeks a variance to exceed the maximum square feet limits of an integrated center.
The limitation for an integrated center is 125,000 square feet. The proposed Wal-Mart building would exceed that by 31,621 square feet.
“That was delayed until the (Tuesday) Jan. 8 meeting,” DeLong said. “The plan commission will have to wait until the BZA hears that before they will consider the project. So, we’ll have a full January of Wal-Mart.”
The project will also be on the agenda for the Tuesday, Jan. 22, plan commission meeting.
