Leonarda M. Stratmann
1916-2008
Leonarda M. (Criqui) Stratmann, 91, of Indianapolis, died Friday April 25, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospice. Leonarda was born Oct. 7,1916, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Herbert A. and Lizzette Bernhard Criqui.
She was a graduate of St. Ursula’s Academy in Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Stratmann worked for the RCA Record Club, Meridian Mortgage and the Children’s Shop at Eastgate Mall. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart League.
Mrs. Stratmann is survived by her children, Leonarda (Stratmann) Brunst of Charlottesville, Va., Joseph Frederick Stratmann II of Pensacola, Fla., Candace (Stratmann) Ulmer of Zionsville, Lorna (Stratmann) Wheet of Fishers, Stephanie Stratmann of San Marcos, Calif.; her sister, Mary Lizette (Criqui) Burkholder of Detroit, Mich.; her cousin, Mary Elizabeth (Bernhard) Koehl of Columbus, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Frederick Stratmann; and her brothers, Francis B. Cirqui and Herbert L. Criqui.
Services will be private. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N. Payne Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
