Jesse “Jay” Benjamin Lynch, 84, of Zionsville, died Sunday, July 13, 2008. Born March 20, 1924, in Athens, Ala., he was the son of John G. and Addie (Andrews) Lynch; they preceded him in death.
Mr. Lynch was an honorably discharged Army veteran of World War II. He was currently working as a school bus driver for Indianapolis Public Schools.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Edith L. “Becky” Lynch; his sons, Glen (wife Diane) and Ben (wife Nancy) Lynch; his sister, Mildred Jean Ryan; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, James G. Lynch.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, July 18, at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, 105 W. Pine St., with a service beginning at 1 p.m.. Graveside burial with military honors will follow at Zionsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society, 6030 W. 62nd St., Indianapolis, IN 46278.

Lantz family welcomes Carter Michael
Michelle (Nee Seery) Lantz and Kirby Lantz of Blacklick, Ohio, announce the birth of Carter Michael Lantz on June 26, 2008, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. Carter weighed 11 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 21-1/2 inches in lenght. Carter is welcomed by sister, Mia Clare.
Maternal grandparents are Michael and Susan Seery, formerly of Zionsville. Paternal grandparents are Neil and Janet Lantz of Gahanna, Ohio. Paternal great-grandfather is Georg Snader of Ohio.
