1932-2008
Thelma Helen Pickell of Zionsville, 76, passed Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008.
Born Jan.13, 1932, she was the daughter of Merle and Verna Coggins of Arkansas City, Kan,; they preceded her in death.
Thelma devoted her life to her family, friends and community. As a volunteer, she was a member of Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, Central Indiana Regional Blood Center, and DAR. She was an active parishioner of St. Alphonsus Liguori in Zionsville. She enjoyed cooking, bridge and her grandkids.
A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her adoring husband of 56 years, John; eight children, John Jr, Stewart (wife Judy), Beth Fuson, Cinda Staser (husband Scott), Sue Masten (husband Skip), Sam (wife Kim), Andy (wife Ericka) and Laura McHale (husband Sean);17 grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hooten of Indianapolis; a brother, Tom Coggins of Mississippi.
Services were Saturday Aug. 30, at St. Alphonsus Ligouri. Contributions may be made to PZAZ Memorial Tree Fund, Town of Zionsville, 1100 W. Oak Street, Zionsville, IN 46077.
