Judith Ann Ziegler Cooper, a long-time Zionsville resident, passed away Monday, Nov. 12. She was born March 12, 1941 to Carl R. and Annamae (Schroer) Ziegler in Indianapolis.
Judy graduated valedictorian from Manuel High School and earned a bachelor of arts in education from Butler Univer-sity. She earned a masters of education from George Washington University. Judy was a member of Christ Church of Zionsville.
She married Dr. Daniel F. Cooper on Aug. 19, 1962. Judy and Daniel were married for 50 years. She cared so much for her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a selfless servant to her family and church.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Daniel; her children Bradley (Leslee), Carrie (Mike), Jason (Holly), Barrett (Daiva), Meredith (P.J.) and Carter (Erica); 13 grandchildren, and her sister Carole Marie (Ron) Browning.
Judy has been reunited in heaven with her daughter Leah Carleen, who preceded her in death in 2008.
She will be greatly missed not only by her family, but also by the many friends who love her and all those whose lives she touched in so many ways.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Christ Church, The Lutheran Church of Zionsville, 600 Ford Road. A service celebrating Judy’s life and faith will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the church, with a calling one hour prior to the service.
