Kent A. Morris
Kent A. Morris, 48, of Zionsville, passed away March 4, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospice. He was born in Indianapolis on April 11, 1965, to Glen A. and Lynda K. (Israel) Morris. Kent was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and Purdue University. He married Mary Ann Ballard on Dec. 16, 1995.
Most recently, Morris worked for Willoughby Industries. Before that, he was a bus driver for the Zionsville school system for seven years. His little kids meant the world to him.
Morris was a member of the Boone Co. Antique Tractor Club, Boone Co. Conservation Club and the NRA. He, Mary Ann and their daughters Kaitlyn and Kelly were very active in Boone Co. 4-H Club.
Morris was a 4-H shooting instructor and spent many hours teaching young children gun safety and proper shooting technique. He also spent many happy hours farming and playing the piano.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann; daughters Kaitlyn Suzanne and Kelly Elizabeth; his parents Glen and Lynda; his brother Ryan Morris (Stephanie); his brothers-in-law Duard Ballard, Dan Ballard, Don Ballard (Sheri), Greg Ballard (Winnie), and a large and loving extended family. A memorial visitation was Thursday, March 6, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. Services were Friday, March 7.
