---- — William "Bill" Holmes, 75, of Whitestown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1937, to Warren and Pauline (Wagner) Holmes in Boone County. His parents precede him in death.
Bill was a truck driver for Indiana Farm Bureau and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Carmel American Legion for 38 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Holmes; daughters, Terri (Don) Peterman and Lisa (Tim) Higgins; brother, Charles (Judy) Holmes; sister, Linda Peine; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 3 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate.
