Jeffrey Scott Henkaline, 57, passed away suddenly Monday, July 8, 2013, at his residence in Joliet, Ill., following an apparent heart attack.
Born in Lima, Ohio, he was a longtime Minooka, Ill., area resident and was employed at Harrah's Casino as a poker room supervisor. He was a motorcycle enthusiast whose greatest loves in life were his family, friends and those long cycle road trips with his best friend, companion and loving wife. Jeff was also a jack of all trades. Whatever he did he succeeded at; he was a mechanic, computer enthusiast, craftsman and gardener, and canned his own food.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sherree Karon Henkaline of Minooka; two sons, Dustin (Amanda) of Joliet and Ryan (Laura) Henkaline of Channahon, Ill.; one daughter, Shannon Henkaline of Joliet; three grandchildren, Ayden, Ellie and Ryleigh Henkaline; his parents, Keven and Virginia Henkaline of Zionsville; four sisters, Kim Henkaline of Indiana, Nancy Vinson of Illinois, Cindy (Barry) Simpson of Nevada and Heidi (Mike) Blair of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Jeffrey Scott Henkaline were at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Rd., Joliet. Cremation rites were accorded following his funeral. Visitation was Saturday afternoon from 2 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
