---- — Gary W. Moore, 82, of Zionsville, died Oct. 16, 2013.
Mr. Moore was born Dec. 12, 1930, in Boone County, to Paul W. and Charlotte Opal Miller Moore; they preceded him in death, as did his brother, John Moore; his sister, Anna J. Roesinger; and his great-grandson, Sean William Culley.
Mr. Moore was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. He was a math and science teacher for 36 years and taught two years in Wabash school district before enjoying a 34-year career at Zionsville Community High School, from which he retired in 1990.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, former member of the Zionsville Jaycees, and was active in Cub Scout Pack/Boy Scout Troop #358 in Zionsville.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly June Harmon Moore; his sons, Walter H. Moore (Lora) of Lebanon, Joseph P. Moore of Indianapolis, and Daniel D. Moore (Becky) of Grovetown, Ga. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jeremy Moore, Keith Moore, Kimberly Moore, and Leia Moore; and his great-grandchildren, Lilly Jane Culley and Amber Lynn Moore.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, also at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery, Zionsville.
