Richard C. Kremkow, 81, of Zionsville, died April 18, 2013.
He was born July 3, 1931, in Detroit, Mich. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a graduate of Michigan State University, and received his master’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Richard dedicated his professional life to education, having worked in several school districts in the greater Detroit area until his retirement in the late 1980s, at which time he was serving as principal at Brandon High School in Ortonville, Mich.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Heldman-Kremkow; his sons, Robert (Maggie) Kremkow and Brian (Amy) Kremkow; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Kremkow; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; Joyce’s children, Cindy (Doug) Young, Candy (Jeff) Berger and Craig (Mary Kay) Heldman; and Joyce’s seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnne (Bidwell) Kremkow; son, Gary; his parents, Walter and Edna (Dittmer) Kremkow; and brothers, John Kremkow and Charles Kremkow.
Services will be private.
