Marilyn Louise Ward, 83, of Zionsville, joined our heavenly father on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
She lived in Zionsville her entire life and was a 1948 graduate of Zionsville High School. She worked for Herff-Jones, where she made class rings for many graduates. Marilyn retired from Eagle Union Elementary, where she enjoyed working with all the elementary children in the cafeteria, after 20-plus years. As a lifelong member of the Trader’s Point Church of Christ, Indianapolis, she devoted her life to the Lord and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Marilyn is survived by her adoring children, Sharon Ward (Glen), Joe (Julia) Ward and Ronald (Shirley) Ward. She was blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren: Justin, Chad, Cameron (Rachel), Morgan, Laura, Sarah, Jimmy, Sara, Dillon; and a great-grandson, Sam.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William (Billy) Ward; her parents, Ivan and Ruth Hancock; and her stepbrother, Larry Clifton. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Flanner and Buchanan- Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
