T. Ralph London, 79, Whitestown, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013.
He was born in 1933 to Cecil R. and Beulah London. He was a graduate of Shortridge High School and Butler University, where he became a Hall of Famer. He was an All Conference and All American Tackle and played under the legendary Tony Hinkle and entered the Butler University Hall of Fame in 2002.
He later started in the restaurant business with his father in 1962, retired Police Lieutenant Cecil R. London, they operated the London Inn, Broad Ripple Tavern, the Friendly Tavern in Zionsville and Ralph’s Sports Bar in Whitestown.
Ralph was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, the Murat Shrine, the Antelope Club, and Phi Delta Beta Fraternity, as well as a past president of the Indiana Beverage Association and the Indianapolis Old Timers Sports Club.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara London; sister, Norma Jean Taylor; children, Janice Schubert, Jerilyn Schlick, John London, and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6030 W. 62nd St., Indianapolis, IN 46278.
A memorial service will be held Friday at the Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville at 11 a.m.
